What is Ruli Contract Lens?
Contract Lens turns your repository into a living knowledge base for your contracts; ask a question in plain English, flag deviations from your market standard or playbook of choice, and let agreements organize themselves automatically. Your contracts become something your team can actually rely on.
Contract Lens is an add-on product to the Ruli Platform that feeds into Ruli Assistant and Ruli in Word to provide you with accurate, up-to-date and granular knowledge across all of your contracts.
Your contract history is already an asset. Contract Lens is how your team puts it to work.
Use Cases
Get the full picture: Related documents, such as SOWs, order forms, amendments, etc., are aggregated automatically so you can get the full picture of your relationship with a counterparty.
Find Risk Faster: Ask for the clause the way you'd ask a colleague, and see every deviation from your standard terms flagged before it becomes a fallback position you didn't choose.
Know Your Counterparties: See how liability caps and fallback positions have shifted with a vendor over time, so your team starts from signal, not from scratch.
Answer Diligence Instantly: Ask it to find every change-of-control clause or assignment restriction across your agreements, and get the answer in minutes, so questions that used to take weeks of outside counsel time get answered fast.
Why Use Ruli Contract Lens?
Instant Answers: Ask for a clause the way you'd ask a colleague, and get the answer instead of a folder of PDFs to respond to the business faster and more accurately.
Full Deal Visibility: Every amendment stays linked to its MSA, so you see the complete picture on any deal instead of piecing it together document by document.
Drift Caught Before It Becomes Policy: Language that strays from your standard terms gets flagged before it becomes a fallback position you didn't choose.
Guidance Where You Draft: Built into Microsoft Word, so the guidance shows up while you're drafting, not after.
How to Use Contract Lens: Step-by-Step Help Guide
Step 1: Confirm your Company Profile
Your Ruli Sales or Customer Success contact will notify you when your instance is ready.
Review your Company Profile and confirm the details are accurate.
Step 2: Add Ruli Playbooks to your Knowledgebase
To use a playbook as a standard for the contract deviation analysis, create it in your knowledgebase.
Doing this before adding contracts will save time when applying that playbook’s standard towards your repository contracts the first time.
Step 3: Add your contracts to the Knowledgebase Repository
Choose one of two options:
Connect your cloud storage to sync automatically with your knowledgebase repository. New documents added to your cloud storage will automatically sync with Contract Lens for accurate, up-to-date information.
Upload contracts directly into the Repository within Contract Lens for one-off manual additions.
Step 4: Wait for the sync to complete
Syncing can take up to 24 hours, depending on how many contracts you're adding.
New documents added to your cloud storage will automatically sync on the same timeline (up to 24 hours) after being added to the cloud storage.
Your Ruli Sales or Customer Success contact will work with you to confirm all files synced correctly. Once confirmed, Contract Lens is ready to use.
Step 5: Add your team
Existing users of the Ruli platform will already have access.
To add additional business users, go to Team Management to provision access.
If you'd rather Ruli handle this for you, ask your Sales or Customer Success contact. They can help provision your users.
